En effet, le mot travail vient bien du bas latin dat\u00e9 du VI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle \u00ab tr\u012bpalium \u00bb, \u00ab instrument de torture form\u00e9 de 3 pieux \u00bb, \u00ab dispositif servant \u00e0 immobiliser les grands animaux, par exemple pour les ferrer \u00bb.
