Le coaching bref propose plusieurs pistes \u00e0 explorer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>De la s\u00e9rie t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9e \u00ab 24 heures chrono \u00bb au best seller \u00ab la semaine de 4 heures \u00bb, en passant par Twitter, la culture contemporaine complexifie autant qu\u2019elle lib\u00e8re notre rapport au temps. En 2017, on ne compte plus en mois, en semaines, voire m\u00eame en jours, mais en heures. Il est temps de distinguer urgence et transformation, et d\u2019apprendre \u00e0 r\u00e9concilier rapidit\u00e9 et profondeur. Comment les dirigeants peuvent-ils explorer et repenser leur \u00e9quilibre entre temps long et temps court? Comment utiliser la bri\u00e8vet\u00e9 pour comprendre, d\u00e9cider puis agir avec profondeur et impact?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diff\u00e9rentes m\u00e9taphores relatives au temps coexistent dans nos cultures, structurant inconsciemment nos mani\u00e8res de vivre. Percevoir le temps non plus seulement comme une ressource rare \u00e0 g\u00e9rer mais comme un objet en mouvement &#8211; qui vient, passe, s\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e8re, s\u2019arr\u00eate \u2013 et mall\u00e9able \u2013 qui se concentre, s\u2019\u00e9tire &#8211; ouvre de nouvelles perspectives. \u00ab Placez votre main sur un po\u00eale une minute et \u00e7a vous semble durer une heure. Asseyez vous aupr\u00e8s d&#8217;une jolie fille une heure et \u00e7a vous semble durer une minute \u00bb s&#8217;amusait ainsi Albert Einstein. Le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre physicien soulignait une caract\u00e9ristique fondamentale du temps: sa relativit\u00e9. Tout comme, plus r\u00e9cemment, Christopher Nolan dans ses films Inception puis Interstellar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De profondes transformations se produisent sur une dur\u00e9e courte et ce, dans des domaines tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents. Ainsi, en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;\u00e9volution des esp\u00e8ces, les pal\u00e9ontologues am\u00e9ricains Stephen Jay Gould et Niles Eldredge postulent, contrairement \u00e0 la th\u00e9orie classique de l&#8217;\u00e9volution, que de longues p\u00e9riodes d&#8217;\u00e9quilibre sont ponctu\u00e9es par de br\u00e8ves p\u00e9riodes de changements importants comme la sp\u00e9ciation ou les extinctions, plut\u00f4t qu&#8217;un unique processus laborieux et progressif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Autre exemple avec la \u00ab neurochirurgie \u00e9veill\u00e9e \u00bb, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire avec un patient conscient lorsqu\u2019on lui enl\u00e8ve une tumeur c\u00e9r\u00e9brale. Ces op\u00e9rations ont permis de d\u00e9couvrir, en parlant au malade pour mener \u00e0 bien une batterie de tests, que notre cerveau se r\u00e9organise radicalement, en quelques heures, durant l\u2019acte chirurgical, notamment pour des fonctions aussi \u00e9volu\u00e9es que le langage. Les chercheurs pensaient jusqu&#8217;alors que cela n\u00e9cessitait un long processus d&#8217;apprentissage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans la m\u00eame veine, des exp\u00e9riences r\u00e9centes montrent qu&#8217;on peut arriver \u00e0 des r\u00e9sultats optimaux en un temps record, en changeant uniquement notre compr\u00e9hension du fonctionnement humain: en effet, nous nous d\u00e9veloppons gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des pressions intenses et ponctuelles accompagn\u00e9es d\u2019une phase de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration et ne sommes pas du tout adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 un stress chronique. Par exemple, la pratique d\u2019une minute d\u2019effort intensif dans un entrainement sp\u00e9cifique dit \u00ab fractionn\u00e9 \u00bb est aussi b\u00e9n\u00e9fique sur le plan cardio-respiratoire que 50 minutes de jogging \u00e0 allure mod\u00e9r\u00e9e. Vingt-six minutes de sommeil diurne offrent quant \u00e0 elles un gain de 54% d\u2019attention pendant 3 \u00e0 4 heures et augmentent globalement les performances de 34%, selon une \u00e9tude publi\u00e9e par la Nasa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Appliqu\u00e9 au management, c&#8217;est le principe de Pareto r\u00e9duit \u00e0 sa plus simple expression: pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans les formations au leadership comme les 20% de notre temps qui g\u00e9n\u00e8rent 80% de nos r\u00e9alisations, il s\u2019av\u00e8re que, selon des \u00e9tudes reprises par Nassim Nicholas Taleb dans son livre &#8220;Le cygne noir&#8221;, 1% des ressources produisent 51% des r\u00e9sultats dans certains contextes. Une intuition, un trait d\u2019humour, un temps d\u2019\u00e9coute, un feed-back, une question, une minute de silence, un \u00ab oui, on y va! \u00bb permettent en un instant de changer la donne. Cette facette du temps se pense, s\u2019apprend, s\u2019exerce, se m\u00fbrit \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comment les dirigeants peuvent-ils explorer leur rapport au temps court pour le rendre dense et utile? Le coaching bref propose plusieurs pistes:<br>&#8211; \u00e9viter les prolongations inutiles: si vous devez jouer, d\u00e9cidez de trois choses en d\u00e9but de partie: les enjeux, les r\u00e8gles du jeu et \u2026l\u2019heure de quitter la table.<br>&#8211; s\u2019appuyer sur les points forts: faites le pari de rechercher \u00ab comment cela marche? \u00bb sans vous perdre dans l\u2019analyse du \u00ab pourquoi cela ne marche pas, plus ou mal? \u00bb.<br>&#8211; s\u2019entra\u00eener pour alterner temps long et temps court: le temps \u00ab court \u00bb d\u2019un acte d\u00e9cisif est possible car vous avez utilis\u00e9 un temps \u00ab long \u00bb pour rechercher, pratiquer, optimiser, personnaliser votre m\u00e9tier et devenir dirigeant.<br>&#8211; \u00eatre concis puis se taire: \u00ab Non \u00bb est une phrase compl\u00e8te ; tout comme \u00ab oui \u00bb, \u00ab je ne sais pas \u00bb ou un silence avec un sourire. En r\u00e9union, commencez par la conclusion puis \u00e9coutez.<br>&#8211; ralentir pour prendre la bonne d\u00e9cision: face \u00e0 un enjeu, il est urgent de prendre son temps. Lorsque tout va vite \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur, et que vous \u00eates press\u00e9, les rendez-vous avec vous-m\u00eame, entour\u00e9s ponctuellement de collaborateurs aguerris, servent \u00e0 ralentir le temps.
