Arr\u00eatez-vous. Physiquement. Maintenant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La \u00ab vision \u00bb offre une m\u00e9taphore pleine de bon sens de la fonction \u00ab arr\u00eat \u00bb du cerveau : l&#8217;exploration visuelle de notre monde est principalement fond\u00e9e sur d&#8217;incessantes saccades, ces derni\u00e8res \u00e9tant de brefs mouvements des yeux &#8211; en moyenne 3 par seconde &#8211; entre deux positions stables ; elles am\u00e8nent ainsi rapidement l&#8217;image d&#8217;un objet sur la fov\u00e9a, zone de la r\u00e9tine o\u00f9 la vision des d\u00e9tails est la plus pr\u00e9cise. Nous ne voyons clairement qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019arr\u00eat !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plus, si la vitesse cr\u00e9e l\u2019effet tunnel bien connu dans le monde automobile &#8211; vision de 100\u00b0 \u00e0 40 km\/h mais de 30\u00b0 \u00e0 130km\/h jusqu\u2019\u00e0 10\u00b0 au-del\u00e0 -, s\u2019arr\u00eater permet de retrouver en un instant une vision \u00e0 180\u00b0, qui entrouvre imm\u00e9diatement des possibilit\u00e9s cr\u00e9atives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L\u2019hyperactivit\u00e9, une illusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si c\u2019est tellement important, pourquoi les dirigeants ne s\u2019arr\u00eatent-ils pas ? Dans ce monde artificiel, il est convaincu que \u00ab s\u2019arr\u00eater signifie dispara\u00eetre \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Confrontons cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9 moderne \u00e0 des comportements aussi efficaces que \u00ab primaires \u00bb : la d\u00e9cision instinctive de s\u2019arr\u00eater est au c\u0153ur des r\u00e9actions animales face \u00e0 une opportunit\u00e9 (pour les pr\u00e9dateurs tapis dans l\u2019ombre) ou \u00e0 un danger (le fameux \u00ab fight, flight or freeze \u00bb ; combattre, fuir ou s\u2019immobiliser), constat\u00e9es \u00e9galement par les chercheurs chez l\u2019humain. Perdu dans une for\u00eat ou dans la jungle urbaine, une strat\u00e9gie \u00e9prouv\u00e9e depuis des mill\u00e9naires est de s\u2019arr\u00eater pour consulter la carte et reprendre ensuite son chemin, et non d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer dans une direction al\u00e9atoire. Lorsque l\u2019immobilit\u00e9 peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un signe de soumission li\u00e9e \u00e0 la domestication, le fait de s\u2019arr\u00eater est une d\u00e9marche proactive intelligente et vitale pour les animaux libres dont nous sommes les descendants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au del\u00e0 de la pause estivale et de la mindfulness (m\u00e9ditation de pleine conscience), s\u2019arr\u00eater peut prendre de nombreuses formes : s\u2019immobiliser et garder le silence pour s\u2019ancrer dans la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et prendre du recul, voire m\u00e9diter sur un enjeu ; se tourner vers son interlocuteur pour qu\u2019il se sente \u00e9cout\u00e9 et entendu, ici, maintenant ; proposer aux participants d\u2019une r\u00e9union aussi strat\u00e9gique que bloqu\u00e9e une pause de quelques minutes, comme une mi-temps salutaire apr\u00e8s une premi\u00e8re partie de jeu embourb\u00e9e ; laisser une opportunit\u00e9 venir \u00e0 nous en soulignant que vous \u00eates int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par la personne sans \u00eatre press\u00e9, ni dans l\u2019attente de ce qu\u2019elle peut vous apporter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regagner sa libert\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u2019il n\u2019y prend pas garde, le dirigeant devient prisonnier d\u2019un mouvement subi avec des injonctions implicites : aller de l\u2019avant, penser vite et bien, agir \u00ab intuitivement \u00bb, avoir les r\u00e9ponses imm\u00e9diatement\u2026 avant un voire plusieurs arr\u00eats brutaux dans sa carri\u00e8re. Car que se passe-t-il<br>lorsque tout s\u2019arr\u00eate ? Perte d\u2019emploi, accident de la vie, retraite \u2026 sont souvent associ\u00e9s \u00e0 un profond sentiment de vide avec leur lot de d\u00e9pressions, suicides et d\u00e9c\u00e8s pr\u00e9matur\u00e9s, confidentiel mais bien r\u00e9el. Le dirigeant regagne sa libert\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019il prend conscience qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas ce mouvement, et donc qu\u2019il peut ralentir, voire s\u2019immobiliser, juste quelques instants, maintenant. Il go\u00fbte alors au plaisir d\u2019\u00eatre spectateur de la vie de son entreprise qui se d\u00e9roule sous ses yeux, avec le recul et la perspective n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 l\u2019exercice de sa fonction autant qu\u2019\u00e0 son bien-\u00eatre profond.<br>S\u2019arr\u00eater est au c\u0153ur de notre fonctionnement originel et optimal. S\u2019arr\u00eater en conscience permet dans le cadre d\u2019une d\u00e9marche active de se pr\u00e9parer aux al\u00e9as de sa vie tout en gagnant en lucidit\u00e9 et justesse pour agir.
